HOMEWORK...!

TO ALL INCOMING GRADE 8 STUDENTS 2005-2006...

From today, Thursday, 28 July 2005, we have about 13 days to go before school starts...I sure hope you are all "well prepared" for my Literature and Grammar & Writing classes already...! As of now, aside from the first 26 names I have listed last Wednesday, July 20, 2005, another 10 people have established contact. The ones I am certain of in names are...

Then there are two others I know only by their e-mail...they never even bothered introducing themselves or signing their names at the end...love_520_1018...and...hououbird...?! I am so sorry to disappoint you but I am not a mind reader...! You could have at least introduced yourselves first like the others since you did not complete the introductory part of my blog assignment...then it would have been easier for me to know who you are. That then gives me a total of 36 individuals.

Well...here's your fourth blog summer assignment...kindly respond to this through my e-mail again, and make sure to SIGN YOUR NAME after your response, please...! This blog assignment is divided into three parts so make sure you complete it very well...

"The first thing I would like you to do is to list down all three books you read for me over the summer---I want the complete title of each book, the names of the authors of each, the publishing companies, and the copyright year; Next, I would like you to make sure you know and understand well your Literary Terms such as THEME, CONFLICT, PLOT, CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, CLIMAX, and the others, because I am going to ask you to relate the terms with your books...meaning, I might ask you what the theme of the story is, or maybe to find me an imagery from it, or tell me the rising action, etc. At this point, YOU NEED NOT WRITE THIS PART in your response to this fourth blog assignment; Lastly, this one you have to write in your response to this blog, in 7-10 sentences, which among your three books did you like the most and why?! Support your response by giving quotes or examples from the story."

So...that's it...! Now I hope you understand why I told you to take notes while you read your books. DO NOT throw your notes away after this because we are stil going to use it throughout the year. You have until 05 August 2005 to respond to blog assignment number four. I am closing access to blog assignment number three tomorrow, Friday, 29 July 2005.
