TO ALL GRADE 7C STUDENTS...
Good Day to one and all! I know you are all sad (
yeah, right!) because we are not going to meet for four long days due to no meeting day on Thursday, then the PTC, and finally, the weekend...! Anyways, be sad no more...for I am going to give you tons and tons of homework assignment to do during your lonely days without my class...it'll be just like having my class, but without me present---cool, eh?! Well, here it is.....
- WRITING. Using the same book you have for your Home Reading Report, pick out a part from your story that you liked the most---it could be anything in the story!---and then write a paragraph with 7-10 sentences explaining why you chose that part. You can focus on the following questions if you want to...What attracted you in choosing that part? Did it remind you of anything? Why did you choose that part among all other parts? Etc. (A4/TNR/DS/F12).
- ACTING. Focusing on that same part you chose for number one, present it in class as a short skit---a one-man or one-woman skit! This means that you will have to act out that part in class on your own to show us what happened. If your chosen part has more than one character, then you have to play all the other characters as well. For a better grade, be prepared with your simple script (A4/TNR/DS/F12) and your costumes.
- THINKING. Find an English newspaper and pick out an article from it on any topic that concerns world events. Read and understand well what it is all about. Cut out the complete story from the newspaper and paste it on an A4 sheet. Then, on a WSP, write a 7-10 sentence paragraph stating what you think of the issue discussed in the article. Give your opinions on the topic, or question it if you want to, or talk about whether you think it is a good or bad article and explain why you say so, etc. The title on top of your WSP should read "Reaction Paper".
Well...that's it! Make sure you have all these ready by Monday morning, 08 November 2004. Have a great weekend and be safe. CIAO!!!
